..uncommonly committed performers in choreography as

Cora Inc. which includes Cora Dance – the professional company – and Cora
School for Dance – the educational outgrowth of that company exists to
support the choreographic and educational vision of dance artist Shannon
Hummel. Hummel’s collaborative vision for making and teaching dance is
rooted in the belief that collaboration is most successful when diverse
artistic points of view are given a respectful environment in which they
can be shared, appreciated and utilized. Therefore, Cora constantly
explores how to better serve its artists financially, physically and
emotionally so that a rich environment where individual artistry may
flourish can exist, thus strengthening the work of the group.
Hummel creates an affecting world. The results are enormously
sophisticated. The choreography quivers with subtle emotions
like the writing of Virginia Woolf.
